Why We Built the Vintage Booth

After more than nine years in the photo booth industry, we kept coming back to one idea: the enclosed booth still creates a guest experience people understand right away. You step inside, close the curtain, and get a private moment away from the room.

We built the Vintage Booth to keep that classic ritual while making the format work for modern events. It gives you a refined enclosed photo booth for weddings, corporate events, brand activations, galas, and private parties.

If you know the basics, read our introduction to the new Vintage Booth. Here, we are sharing why we built it and what those decisions mean for your business.

A Two-Tower Design

An enclosed photo booth needs structure. We tested smaller sections, but reducing the pieces weakened the stability we wanted for commercial use.

We call these towers an Electronic Tower and Seat Tower. They measure 21 x 33 x 72 inches at 205 pounds and 15.5 x 33 x 62 inches at 148 pounds.

Assembled, the Vintage Booth measures 58.5 x 33 x 72 inches and weighs 354 pounds. It is a two-person setup and fits in a standard pickup truck or small U-Haul. These numbers help you plan staffing, transport, and storage before you buy.

We Saw an Opportunity to Rethink the Enclosed Vintage Booth

The enclosed booth format already works. The challenge was making it fit modern event businesses.

Traditional enclosed booths can take up serious transport space, look dated beside premium décor, or make branding and updates harder.

We wanted a vintage enclosed photo booth that kept the privacy people remember while giving you a cleaner presentation. If you are comparing formats, our guide to choosing the best photo booth for a rental business explains how booth type affects your setup, packages, transport, and target events.

The Classic Booth Moment Guests Still Love

An open-air booth brings energy. An enclosed booth creates a different moment.

Guests step behind the velvet curtain, sit down, and relax. Couples lean in. Friends get playful once the crowd is outside.

That ritual works well at weddings, anniversaries, galas, and private parties. We kept it because the interaction inside the booth makes the format memorable.

What We Heard From Vendors Like You

Through more than nine years in the industry and work with over 100 photo booth businesses, we have seen the value of giving clients a clear reason to choose one setup over another.

A second booth should expand your offer, support new packages, and give returning clients another experience to book.

That thinking shaped the Vintage Booth. It gives you a distinct enclosed option instead of another version of the same open-air setup. Before adding equipment, review whether your photo booth business is truly profitable so the purchase fits your margins and growth plan.

Classic on the Outside, Modern on the Inside

Our design rule was simple: keep the vintage character and use current technology where it matters.

The Vintage Booth supports 12.9-inch and 13-inch iPads. Turnkey options add a Canon R100 camera, Impact flash, DNP RX1 printer, camera wiring, cooling, and the computer hardware needed for an iPad-based or Windows-based workflow.

Photo booth software is not included, so you can keep the platform that fits your business. Our guide to professional photo booth software compares several options for working operators.

We Built It Around Real Event Work

A booth can look beautiful and still create problems if transport and setup were ignored during design.

We considered load-in, assembly, cable management, printing, ventilation, teardown, transport, and storage. The semi-collapsible structure avoids hauling one permanently assembled unit.

The two-tower design keeps the system organized at the venue, which matters when access windows are short.

The Details We Refused to Skip

The Vintage Booth includes velvet curtains, with white, black, brown, indigo, green, and red options available. A real seat brings back the enclosed setting guests remember.

An integrated LED brand panel creates a dedicated branding area. A custom partial exterior panel and floor wrap can carry your company or event branding. Turnkey builds also include an internal cooling fan.

These details support a clean presentation and practical event use.

Bottom Line: How the Vintage Booth Grows Your Business

We built the Vintage Booth because enclosed photo booths still offer something distinct, and operators deserve a version designed around modern event work.

For your business, that means another format you can package, brand, and sell to weddings, corporate clients, and activations. Your pricing, service, and marketing still drive the booking.
